The lab is currently recruiting talented scientists with an interest in cell biology, dermatology, and cancer biology. We use a variety of advanced optical imaging techniques, patient samples and mouse models of development and disease to advance our understanding of cutaneous pathophysiology. The Kowalczyk Lab is housed in the Department of Dermatology at the Penn State College of Medicine. Departmental seminar series, various journal clubs, and monthly faculty presentations provide a highly interactive and multidisciplinary environment. Hershey is located near Harrisburg, the capital city of PA, and the beautiful Susquehanna River, with immediate access to hiking, paddling, mountain biking and road cycling. Easy access is available to metropolitan areas of DC, Philadelphia, and NYC by train and car.
